The first stop of the study tour was teacher Zeng Jianlong’s office. The GID office is located in the north building of No. 338 Fengyang Road in the old town of Shanghai. It is a 4-story old building that dates back to the Republic of China. During the design and renovation process, Mr. Zeng was invited by the owner to transform 1, The 2nd floor became the GID Shanghai office.
Find tranquility amidst the chaos and trace the origins amidst the complexity. Teacher Zeng painted the iron sheet on the exterior of the original building from gray to white and installed black window frames, making this building in a bustling city a quiet place.
The interior is more like a mysterious and fashionable art museum. Against the background of the architectural space in black and white and gray tones, in the rational straight line and surface structure, it is embellished with various solid colors, colorful carriers or light lines and surfaces, making it The spatial context blends sensibility and rationality, making people feel relaxed and happy in it.
Teacher Zeng attaches great importance to design and communication between people. Dingqi Restaurant
Project name: "Dingqi Restaurant" in Lujiazui, Shanghai

Dingqi Restaurant, located on the bank of the Huangpu River in Lujiazui, Pudong New District, Shanghai, is another new work of teacher Gary Zeng Jianlong and an important stop of this study tour. It has an excellent viewing angle and a unique and personalized design, which makes simple meals have a unique sense of ceremony.
At dusk, water waves and glow blend together and are projected into the indoor space, creating a Shanghai-style eastFang's artistic conception instantly spread throughout the restaurant.
Color is an important factor in highlighting the theme and cultural artistic conception, and is the first experience for people to feel the environmental atmosphere. Teacher Zeng is good at using color to create the visual impact of space and create a sense of high-end space. The same is true in the design of this restaurant.
In the restaurant, a large number of metal mesh, art bricks and other materials are used in repeated combinations and transformations, harmoniously matched, and with a sense of hierarchy and luxury.
For each VIP private room, Mr. Zeng uses different design concepts to give it a different personality, giving people a different situational experience in each private room.

W+S CAFé is the work of Ben Wu, the founder of Wujiang Design, one of the top ten designers in China, and a cross-border artist. Inspired by "Alice in Wonderland", he aimed to create a secret garden and seek a little romance in the noisy city.
Every piece of furniture and accessories is integrated with the color and aroma of the food, making people feel warm in their simplicity and romance.
As an extension of "lifestyle", Teacher Wu Bin integrates home life into the coffee shop, giving it a table, a chair, a plate and a fork.The unique design soul makes people realize that designing life means designing beauty.

Approach Sihang Warehouse and remember history
The magical Shanghai is a modern and fashionable city, but at the same time it is an ancient city with traces of history. There are countless historic sites such as alleys, old houses, Shanghai Bund, and Yuyuan Garden. The movie "Eight Hundred" was filmed in the Sixing Warehouse in Shanghai. It restored the scene of the "Eight Hundred Heroes" fighting with the Japanese army in the warehouse after the Battle of Songhu broke out in 1937. The story of a bloody battle.
Sihang Warehouse was built in 1931 and was originally the North Sihang (Jincheng Bank, China South Bank, Continental Bank, Salt Bank) joint warehouse. Today, Japanese artillery shell holes are faintly visible on the old and dilapidated walls.
Looking at both sides of the Suzhou River, the designers paused in silence, as if walking in the gap between history and reality, traveling through time in an instant, and feeling a different kind of emotion and nostalgia.
